
A Spalex drop is a combination of dill oil, fennel oil and simethicone. Dill oil is also known as Indian dill which is pale yellow in color and it known for its grass like smell. It is mainly used for providing relief of flatulence especially in babies.
Fennel is a flowering plant species from which the oil is extracted. It is mainly used to provide digestive health, antiseptic, diuretic, antispasmodic and antitoxic.
Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent which causes reduction in surface tension of the gas bubbles. It is used to reduce pain which is caused by gas in intestine and decreases flatulence.

Simethicone produces its action by expelling the entrapped gas and relieving in discomfort. It is a anti-gas agent which changes the surface tension of the gas bubbles and inhibiting the smaller bubbles to unite together to become a bigger bubble. Dill oil and fennel oil causes reduction in spasm and increases intestinal motility. Dill oil produces anti-spasmodic, carminative, digestive, disinfectant, sedative, galactagogue and sedative.
